  1. As we can see A new depression Era is coming and the luckiest ones will make it through and the rest will suffer a great deal!!!

  2. Well now is the time to plan how to make veggies grow in the dirt.  So if nothing else you can have fruits and veggies...Better days up ahead.  You know it will rise and fall...Where is your faith.  One day it will change again and reverse itself.

  3. In order to prevent this, wouldn't it be a good idea to start filling your pantries NOW with canned food and a loaded gun in a cupboard?

  4. i'll be eating my home grown fruit and vegetables while you starve to death.

  5. THE STRONG SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH!

  6. you just answered your own question, we all starve to death.

  7. You won't starve to death buy some seeds and learn to grow your own food, that's what was done after the war when there were huge food shortages. as a family we grew every type of fruit and vegetables you can think of, we certainly didn't starve people need to stop being so lazy and get out there do something about it not just sit there and wait for it to happen.

  8. Nothing.

    We will all be dead.

  9. As a person who has experienced a serious lack of food etc. as a child in WWII in Germany. The USA will never experience the kind of starvation other countries have. Instead of eating steaks

we may have to cook our own food and eat hot dogs, turkey burgers, peel our own potato's and stop using pre-made food.

It is much less expensive to cook a pot of dry beans then to purchase a can of beans. Same goes for bread, bake ones own bread etc. Stop going to fast food restaurants and eat at home.

  10. people could  be chipped with the number 666, then you will receive all the items you want, wont need money, only  problem  is you will be owned by whoever owned the chip that was put into your brain, or you could starve to death if you decide not to be implanted

  11. It won't happen so stop worrying. Everything is going up agreed, then you have to look at ways to economise, plenty of things you can do. Shop better, use more markets for fresh produce, ask utility companies for any help they can give, some do, mine has. Pare things down until such time that the economy takes a better turn.

  12. To rainman it is the MEEK who will inherit the earth. In answer to the Q

During WW2 our country survived the food shortages the fighting etc. Since the fifties we have been a nation who has got back on it's feet our parents and grandparents knew not to waste food they grew their own in allotments and gardens if they were lucky enough to own one.Having been through tough times they counted themselves blessed but since the Thatcher years we have become a nation of I want it so I'll have it even if I have to borrow to pay for it,we have  2/3 car families.large houses, holidays abroad and even those who do not work think the welfare system should provide luxuries for them, some young women have babies that they cannot afford to pay for without the benefit system,we see them around our town centres cigs in hand, mobile phones and all up to the moment clothingand kit  we are greedy so now we will return to days of hardship we have only ourselves to blame. We have sold our souls (churches are empty until things go wrong) for the consumer society our crime rate is high.

To talk about usstarving is a real insult to the people of the world where they know the real meaning of hard times you and I know nothing at all about it."Count your blessings name them one by one and it will surprise you what God has done" think of the words of this little hymn I sang in the fifties you will realise we have a lot to be grateful for.

  13. The poor will die, and the rich and will inherit the earth.

BUT they will find out what it means to have to WORK to survive.

  14. Poor City Folk....y'all can fight and bicker over the last can of Chef Boyardi while us Country folk live on our lots of land and acreage hunting deer and boar and fish......

See, some of us have common sense to change with the changes and change to suit our lifestyles.

We cut back in many areas and since we live in a small town predominantly farming and such, we can just ride a horse or a motorbike. My husband and all his buddies bought Harley's in Spring and it barely takes $15 to fill up a week, maybe less.

I'm not worried or freaked out in the least.

I know how to sew, cook and bake from scratch since i had grandmothers teaching me all my life how to do it the old way, nor are we lazy and gripe about conditions, we fend for ourselves and raise our children ourselves and still live by the good book - sorry things are tough Mr city dweller, but this ain't half as bad as what it was in the 20's!

  15. At least gas is going down..this too shall pass. Have faith!

  16. Read "The Grapes Of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. It is a novel about the depression era in the 30's.

  17. You may starve to death, I certainly shall not.

Not until everybody is lying dead. Lighten up!!!

  18. You need to pay off your bills and grow a garden now, if you can't then buy as much can food as you can afford, believe, I am doing both. Buy food by the case, by peanut butter also.

  19. Look at 'population reduction' on YouTube.

  20. Let's wait until we all starve to death to worry about it! LOL

  21. Obviously, there has to be a tipping point where food prices CAN'T go up anymore. In a capitalistic society, you can't raise the price to the point where no one will buy it. However, as prices do go up, people will be more selective in WHAT they buy... versus how much they buy. Hamburger versus steak... American cheese versus stilton... beer versus wine... generic versus name brand... etc. There'll be less wastage going on... which may not be a bad thing... we waste a tremendous amount of food as a society.

So while we'll most certainly be eating, we just won't be eating as well.

  22. There will be a revolution before that happens....

The rich cannot get rich from the rich, they can only get rich from the poor, ...and if the poor have nothing then the rich have to spend their riches until eventually they become the poor.

It is the very, very rich that will survive because they are the ones that rule the world, not the politicians.

Only a revolution will save us now.

  23. in that case we need not worry anymore

due to the fact you're actually dead.
