women serving in the idf are not sent to the frontline, so therefore it is difficult for them to be caught

it is tragic if either men or women get caught.

I guess if they fought and taken prisoner they would be violated like the American female soldier was violated by the Iraqis.

However more than likely the will not be partaking in actual combat.

Female Israeli soldiers are not sent out to the front lines like Hamas and Islamic Jihad send out women and children in front of tanks and IDF for some good publicity shots and international propaganda.  We keep our women safe.

In any case, female Israeli soldiers have excellent training in case of danger and they know how to defend themselves quite effectively.
