  1. No, but they will be very clean.

  2. Nothing. I'm sure forensics could still determine the gun used.

  3. Sigh...   At best, nothing will happen.  Bleach is not a lubricant.  However, it is a Base (base, as in opposit of acid).  Like acid, it will have corrosive effects on all metal surfaces.  If left on a bullet, it will tarnish the surface, and depending on the temperature and sun exposure may even create small holes in the copper jacket.  If enough remains in the barrel, well... your barrel may deteriorate at a faster rate and you will need a  barrel replacement.

99.9% of barrels are made either out of hardened steel or are chrome-lined (hard metals).  99.9% of bullets are made out of lead, copper, or zinc and brass alloys (soft metals).  With proper maintenancne 5,000 bullets through a barrel will leave nothing more than a few tiny marks inside the barrel.

Tell your friend to dip his head in bleach and study up on your chemistry facts.

  4. I'm sure it will be slick, but it also won't fire because it's now a wet bullet, and wet bullets don't fire.

  5. wait what do u mean by scratch it? do u mean the rifling or do u mean the case will be slick and cant scratch the brass> answer me and ill answer u

  6. No way.  If you want something untraceable use a crossbow.

  7. No its not . the bullet gets to hot so it would probably just burn off anyway

  8. Bleach wont cause it to be slick. The tolerance between a bullet and the bore is machined to be exact. Otherwise the bullet wouldn't leave the barrel as the gases would just go around it. Bleach is a base, and bases tend to extract oil and fat out of your skin. That is why if you get some on your hands, they feel slick. That is also why they feel dry and cracked when the bleach dries. That is where this myth probably came from.
