What will happen in 2012?

I am now reading the book apocalypse 2012 and am kind of freaked out. What are the chances of the end of the world happening in 2012? Why are fema coffins everywhere stacked up?

  1. The Mayans didn't predict it. All that happens is that their Long Count calendar clicks over from 12.19.19.17.19 to 13.0.0.0.0 on 21st December 2012. Various frauds and charlatans have tacked their own pet disaster theories on to that date. These theories haven't one shred of scientific credibility between them.

  2. The chances of the world ending in 2012 are SLIM to NONE, although I believe there will be great changes.  I have been tracking the Mayan Calendar for over a year now and it doesn't miss a beat.  Heck, they even predicted a condition that would help collapse the world monetary system (paper money) in this period and it's right on schedule.  I didn't buy any gold, but I did grow a large garden as food may become more valuable than gold.

The Mayan Calendars end at the completion of their cycle; much like our calendar ends at the end of the solar year cycle. The ancient Maya were master astronomers, mathematicians as well as master time keepers. Those things which they predicted and their time has come to pass (black holes, eclipses, etc.) have been surprisingly right on. Their "Long Count" calendar was discovered in use by an earlier civilization called the Olmecs. The source of their knowledge of the cosmos is unknown, but thought to be "not of this world". There is no "End of the World" Maya prophecy; Rather, they predict an "End of the World as we know it". Great changes are expected to happen, including even more natural disasters followed by a change in consciousness and a time of peace.

Here is a summary of my research into the Mayan Calendars and their predictions for the time leading to Dec. 21, 2012.

    --------------------------

The following cycles are most relevant to what may occur in 2012. There is the 25,625 year "Galactic Day" and the 5,125 year "Long Count"(Great Cycle). Both of these are set to END and RESTART on the Winter Solstice of 2012 (11:00 UST Dec. 21, 2012):

Let's start with the "Galactic Day". As we travel around the Milky Way galaxy, it is my understanding that we do not remain at a constant distance nor at the same orientation in relation to the black hole at its center;  a black hole the Maya refer to as the supreme creator, "HUNAB KU". Instead, we move closer and further from this black hole.  As we move in closer, we simultaneously become aligned  with the Milky Way's equator or "The Tree of Life" as the Maya call it.  Upon doing so, we may become exposed to "HUNAB KU's" opposing magnetic forces which would cause our Sun to eject intense solar flares and Earth to experience a magnetic pole reversal (Pole Shift).  In the years that we have been furthest away from ,"HUNAB KU", we have been dense low vibrating energy and have been experiencing our dark spiritual years: These years have been part of the "Galactic Night".  As we move closer, we become higher vibrating energy and spiritually enlightened beings: These years pertain to the "Galactic Day". We are currently in transition from Night to Day. The complete cycle takes 25,625 years; approximately the same as what modern science has calculated and named "The Precession Of The Equinox Cycle".

The "Long Count" evenly divides the "Galactic Day" into five equal parts (25,625 years / 5 = 5,125 years). It is my understanding that this cycle also coincides with a natural rhythmic beat that is derived from the black hole at the center of the galaxy in the form of an energy pulse. This energy pulse presumably has multiple effects on us and our surroundings. It not only helps us to become enlightened beings for twenty years, but can reek havoc on Earth by creating larger solar flares which can bring drought, famine, earthquakes, volcanic activity, and tsunamis. Twenty years prior to this event, in a period the Maya refer to as "The Time of No-Time",  mild energy spurts, from "HUNAB KU",  create a shift in consciousness; from left-brain thinking to right-brain thinking (from logical to intuitive). This shift can be experienced all at once or gradually at first moving exponentially as we approach the end of the cycle.

There is one more Mayan Calendar I could share with you called "The Nine Underworlds". It is one of the more recently rediscovered calendars and may be the most important one, in so far as the 2012 prophecies are concerned.  It is a calendar that has recorded the state of consciousness from the beginning of time (The Big Bang) to Dec. 21, 2012.  At which time, we will have supposedly consciously evolved to completeness to become co-creators with "HUNAB-KU":  It maps out "creation" if you will.   Humans will be exposed to a cosmic energy that will facilitate enlightenment. In this state of higher consciousness, we will recognize that all matter, plant, animal, mineral are bound as one. This realization will mark the end of wars.

  3. The Mayans did no such thing.  Their calendar ends.  And since when did the Mayans become capable of foretelling the future.  Jeesh!!!  The chances for the world ending in 2012 are the same for any other year.  At any moment a previously undiscovered asteroid could slam into the earth, and if large and fast enough it could release enough energy to boil away the oceans and turn the surface of the earth into a sea of magma.  Of course the chances of this happening are very low.  It hasn't happened since very early in the Precambrian.  But there is always a chance.

Now THINK.  If FEMA thought the world was ending, why would it stockpile coffins?

  4. It won't trust me, I bet in thousands of years it will end.

  5.   The same as what's happening today.

  6. The Mayans did NOT predict it. Not that they have any particular reputation for prognostication . They made a very accurate calendar and were very good at predicting certain types of astronomical phenomena. Assorted new age scammers and kooks have seized on the fact that the Mayan calendar runs out in 2012, and attached all sorts of catastrophic predictions to it, all of which are nonsense. People have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning - don't take it seriously. Short of the astronomers informing us that there's a large comet or asteroid on a collision course, there are no reliable predictors of any end-of-the world events.

  7. Nothing spectacular will happen in 2012 (unless you count the Olympics in London).

It is just a myth which mysteriously propagates (mostly because of the History Channel and YouTube)

The interpretation of the Mayan calendar thing is just plain wrong – it’s just the end of a cycle. And since calendars are based on astronomical motions of one kind or another, they are inherently cyclic. Our western calendar ends on December 31st every year!

Planet X/Nibiru does not exist. If it did we would have found it by now. We have mapped the sky in the infrared several times in the last 25 years (including WMAP, IRAS etc), and it would show up. It is not there. We would have found it if it existed. So all the nonsense about the return of Nibiru/Planet X is just that – nonsense

There is no scientific evidence for the existence of Nibiru

Furthermore, at the distance it must be to hit us in a little over 4 years, it would be reflecting enough light from the sun to be detectable.

Thanx to previous question from Brant and answer from bikenbeer2000, we know how bright it should be by now – it would have a apparent magnitude of 7.4 – which would not be visible with the naked eye – but easily visible in a modest telescope and would have been spotted by amateur. If there was a conspiracy to keep it quiet – it would be out of the bag by now.

Ask someone where it is supposed to be, get a pair of binoculars and look for it.

Furthermore, it is supposed to be in orbit around a brown dwarf. We have detected brown dwarfs at much larger distances than the alleged distance of the sun’s mythical brown dwarf companion, so why haven’t we seen this “star:?

The videos on YouTube that purport to have evidence are disingenuous to say the least. They put together pictures of other objects (e.g. Jupiter, comets even a dust shell around a distant red giant star) and try to scare people. There is no validity to their claims. They present NO EVIDENCE at all.

As for the predicted catastrophes – the most popular one seems to be the Pole Shift!

The sun will have a pole reversal that year – it has one every 11 years – it is not a problem.

The earth’s magnetic field is less predictable –

but is still nothing to worry about: we know that the magnetic field does not collapse in the process of reversing polarity- if it did, there would be major extinctions that correlate with the geologic record for pole reversals - there is no correlation.

Now let’s tackle the “Galactic Alignment”

Here’s a nice site that explains what it means, and explains that is does not happen on December 21st 2012:  http://alignment2012.com/whatisGA.htm

Also see the wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galactic_Al...

which tells you that the precise alignment of the solstice with the Galactic equator was in 1998. It did not cause problems. The Galactic Equator is purely a human construct – not a physical thing. And we do not get any closer to the black hole in the center, which remains approximately 8000 parsecs (26,000 light years) away.

  8. What if Bush and his boys weren't listening to phone calls and reading e-mails for things regarding terrorism but for words like 'Christian', 'Jesus', 'Church', 'God', etc. ?

  9. In 2012, there will be a presidential election between Jeb Bush and Chelsea Clinton.  The FDA will  approve the new Zappy Jafa DNA tests.  The world will go on and survive.

  10. There is no actual scientific theory or evidence that anything unusual is going to happen in 2012. It is a collection of myths and disproven theories being promulgated by doomsday predictors, who predict a new one every few years. The longer explanation is below:

It is based on the end of the current cycle of the Mayan long count calendar. No doomsday was predicted and the Mayan civilization died out, so a new cycle wasn’t written.  The Mayans didn't predict the end of the world, only the beginning of a new age.  They weren't very good at predictions though.  They predicted that their god was coming back, so they met the Conquistadors with open arms thinking their god had returned.  Their civilization was wiped out.

Niburu (Planet X) doesn't exist. Zecharia Sitchin is an author of books promoting the ancient astronaut theory for human origins. He attributes the creation of the ancient Sumerian culture to the Annunaki (or Nephilim) from a hypothetical planet named Nibiru in the solar system. The Doomsayers predicted that it was to hit Earth in 2003. Undaunted when it didn't show up, they just moved it out to 2012 to coincide with the end of the Mayan calendar.

Galactic Alignment - takes 36 years to precess through galactic equator, we will be 6 degrees off in 2012.

Asteroid Apophis - the 2001 alert was for 2029, and was canceled after additional observations showed it would not hit us.

Polar Shift - the magnetic poles are moving all the time. Polar reversal happens over thousands of years.

Passage through a "photon belt" has been added. This is also untrue and wouldn't hurt us if it were. Photons are merely units of light.

Solar flares happen all the time and we have more of them at some times than others. They haven't caused any serious problems in the past. The direct effects of solar flares are mainly related to communications and radio transmissions. We had a major series of solar flares in 2005. Did you notice anything? I didn't.

  11. The King is coming and the serpents that rule this planet are going to try and stop Him without success. Get right with God now and take part in His coming kingdom and have eternal life.

    Do NOT ever accept this:

  12. I used to not believe, but I have definitely changed my mind now!

You better watch these before you let atheists lead you astray:

  13. What will happen:

The sun continue to rise and fall

The moon will continue to go through its phases.

The zodiac will marches arcoss the sky

People will fall in love and get married.

People will make love and have babies.

Some people will start wars, other people will end them

Pretty much, everything will continue as it is now.

The chance of the world ending in 2012 are pretty much zero.  Yes, there is a SMALL chance, but it is so close to zero that you needn't worry about it.

If the world was going to end, why would FEMA need coffins?  Whose going to be around to put bodies into the coffins?  it is JUST as likely that the coffins are there to handle the bodies of the Christians who will be beheaded by the AntiChrist.  I'm sure you've seen the semi-trailers with the guillotines, haven't you . . .?

These ideas of the world ending in 2012 were designed to scare little children.  Is it working on you??

  14. I`m 15, too. I don`t know the chances of the world ending, but if you believe it then I guess there is a greater chance in your mind

  15. The summer Olympics in London will happen in 2012.  There have been predictions for years upon years.  People have lined up their sneakers and killed themselves.  People have swallowed poison Kool-aid.  Don't worry about it.  It's magical thinking.  It's no different, and the Mayans were just people trying to make a living.

  16. Even if the Mayans had predicted it, which they didn't, how would that make this "sky is falling" scenario any different from any of the tens of thousands of others throughout all of recorded history? The Mayans sacrificed children to the gods by ripping their beating hearts out of their chests by hand, and were baffled at the high technology of the wheel. Are these really the people you want to get your wisdom from?

When 2012 ends without magic planets knocking the earth out of orbit, kindly remember what you have been told here and learn the lesson that all mysticism and all pseudoscience is all bullshit.

  17. I was watching history channel and also reading the online dictionary when this one dude calculated on a bell graph all the floods known to man and there supposedly was a comet strike in Indian ocean around 2800 b.c. Maybe since this catastrophe was felt all over the Earth then everyone will want to base the Sun going up and down for 3000 years to have a weird sacrifice, then another 2000 years to predict another comet

  18. Fema coffins are around to get ready for another Hurricane Katrina.

Relax.... the 'end of the world" has been predicted over 1000 times since Jesus walked the Earth;  it's just a way of selling salvation and books.

But, I'm sure the author of whatever book you're reading thanks you for the donation to his cause.

  19. I dont think anyone has any right to say when the "world will end" Only God can.. but if you want to read more about this stuff .. look up Nostradamus.
