What will happen in the 2012 London Olympics ?

The US is very likely to stay at no.2 position in the medal table at this year's Olympic. Great Britain is doing very well this year. I could see the possibility of Great Britain surpassing the Americans in 2012 relegated the US to 3rd spot behind China (no.1) and Great Britain (no.2). The US will fight for the 3rd spot with Russia. What's your opinion, don't you think this is possible ?

Lots of people will play sports. some will win and some will lose.

Who knows, we have some great up and coming athletes, and hopefully we shall strive to win, as we always do. If we work on diving and track events, it's possibly we may gain a rank. h**l we are beating Russia, and that place is massive, so it shows it's all down to dedication and training.

And once again American's, it's judged by Gold, not by total...i'm getting tired of having to repeat this. So total count doesn't matter, second and third is technically losing.

A lot of countries will learn from this Olympics, like Britain has in the last 2 and now they are near the top of the medal tally.  

As it is in Europe a lot of the European countries and Russia will do better.  The seppos and China will be at the top again, with Russia third.

Possible yes but I think US will still be a top competior as well as China beacuse all they do is train train train! But really anything can happen

Great Britain is still behind in gold medals and not even CLOSE in total medals to the US.

I think China and America will remain on top. I hope Japan gets more medals than this year.
