What will happen next?

I used to know this girl who was new to my school last year. I really wouldn't call us friends but we were trying to start a friendship. But anyways I noticed when she started to become popular she kind of blew me off. So to this day we still don't talk. I invited her to my track meets and I texted her alot. Also this year she made varsity cheerleading team. And I never see her during school. I feel like theirs no chance of us becoming friends again. Also I erased her number because it was pointless she never ven called or texted me. The oonly resource she has now to contact me is myspace. But I'm waiting for her to make the effort. Do you think she'll want to be my friend again? Can anybody explain why she's acting like this? What do I do? thanks for your answers in advance.

it doesn't sound like she is.  Some people are in your life for a season, while others are there for life.  Sounds like she was a season friend...you were there to help her feel comfortable at her new school, but now she is acclimated to the school, she feels better about making other friends.
