What will happen to ME???

Question

i recently commited a felony

me and my friends were stealing beer from peoples garages we got caught and were pressed with 2 counts of 1st degree burglary

What will happen to us in the future

What will the charges be

what advice do u have

It was only four bottles of beer and 6 mikes hard lemonade

it definatley wasnt worth it we feel so stupid

the entry into the dwelling is burglary,no matter what you stole...felony conviction.loss of all sorts of rights such as owning or even buying a firearm or voting...heh heh...dummy

If it's your first offense,  you will likely get probation and community service of some kind.  Of course, if you draw the judge who feels he's had enough and decides to make an example of you, you could end up doing some time at the juvenile center.  It's unlikely, but you could also be charged as an adult, which is a whole other situation.

Charged as a juvenile, it's unlikely that you burglary charge will follow you into adulthood, so you may be lucky that way.

Stealing was pretty stupid.  You didn't have to take anything to be charged with a felony.  Simply being there was enough.

My advice is to get a good lawyer and watch out for your friends offering you up for a lighter sentence for themselves.

I don't know what will happen to you in this specific instance, but I used to work in a law firm.  My advice is that you get the best attorney you can afford.  Just like you would get the best Dr. you could afford if you had to have heart surgery.

Well you should, If it's you first affiance you'll get probation and a large fin.
