What will happen to Madden 09 Since Brett Farve went to the Jets?

Most of the sports video games have rosters from earlier than the year on the cover.   Madden 09 for instance would probably have the teams rosters for 07.    

Just for the Record, many of the Posters for NCAA 09 and I beleive the game cover have Darrin McFadden in his #25 Arkansas Razorbacks uniform even though it was pretty much a known fact he was going to the NFL this year early in the 07 season.  With the newer consoles, such as the 360 or ps3 that use alot of online play, they can probably update and correct the rosters.

The better question to me is why are 09 games being released in 08 when the game companies can have no idea what players are going to even be in the league in 09 yet.

They have a cover for the game that you are going to be able to download with him as a jet.  You will also be able to have a file apparently thats downloadable that puts him on the jets on the game

its really late for the covers and everything to get changed , and favre will be placed for sure in the free agent pool (since he just came back from retirement) we should just wait for the online roster update so favre will be placed in the Jets roster (and pennington will be cut also)

According to EAsports.com Favre will remain as a Packer on the cover but they have photoshopped Favre into a Jets uniform that you can download, print, and slide into the case over the original cover. Also, as soon as you buy the game a roster update will be available online that has Favre on the Jets roster. Hope this helps. 2 hours and 45 minutes till the midnight release.
