  1. He won't play, less likely than Clemens to get jail time, and I would want him on my team.  Plenty of players use/d steroids, and this is maybe the best player of all time.  He just happens also to be unfriendly, which skews people's idea of him.

  2. he is looking for a team to play for. I hope he goes to jail. If he starts playing for the cardinals i'm not going to a game again and i'm going to be a cubs fan lol

  3. oh commmon,

  4. He won't get jail time unless he gets convicted of something.

Since they haven't convicted him yet, and there is pretty much no chance they will find any new evidence, I'd say he's not going to jail.

As for playing in 2009, I don't think the teams care one bit about if he lied or cheated. They care about whether or not he would help the team sell more tickets. Since there is so much bad press surrounding his name, most teams don't want to get involved. However, I think some team will realize that they are a power hitter away from a playoff run and somebody will give him a contract.

  5. he'll get signed by the yankees on august 15th, come in for 1 and a half months, in that time, he'll hit 20 homers, and draw about 200 walks, and he'll probably lead the yanks to the 08' world series...however, after this season, he'll go to jail for 16 months, and never play again.

  6. I heard the Yankees might be interested in him.

  7. Barry bond is a free agent and so far no teams have shown intrest in him despite reports his agent has never been called. He will try to play till he cant any more. And no jail time best money lawyers can buy

  8. hopefully he will get jail time and share a cell with big bubba.

  9. Please prove that he's a creep, punk, liar and a cheat.....

Did you sleep in the same house he does, do you commute with him every day, change in the same locker room he changes in, did you at least meet him to see that he's not like what the media brainwashes haters, fake fans and bandwagoners with, do you eat at the same table everyday where he eats, and do you live with him 24/7 to know every single action he performs and word he says?????

I met him various times at work (EA Sports), inside Candlestick & AT&T Park, at All Star Game festivities, All Star Game afterparties and in my neighborhood (San Mateo/Foster City, CA) when he visited his dr. in the past.  He's as normal as anyone else in a crowded room, he will shake your hand, will take the time to chat with you, will sign autographs freely, does not walk around like he's God and does not seek attention unlike what the media portrays him to be.  All celebrities, high profile people and athletes act abrasive in front of a camera in order to protect themselves and their families.

He will either retire or get signed by an AL team in 2009.  Jail time for him will not materialize because there is no proof that he lied to the grand jury.  He may have taken PED's in the past, but that does not have anything to do with his trial at all.  The indictment and charges are for perjury, not steroid usage.

  10. If no team would take a chance on him this year, why would they when he's 45?  (next year).  He's done, but I bet he'll never see the inside of a cell.  However, I'll bet he doesn't see the inside of Cooperstown either, and that will be worse than jail for him.

  11. He is a free agent and no one seems to be signing him so... Also, he might retire in 2009.

  12. nothing just jail time and his records won't hold because (assuming he stayed healthy) A-Rod is on the way to beat him

  13. He is probably gonna end up getting a $50 fine or something of that nature.
