my front desk job is frustrating right now. One tenant just came here 2 minutes ago..who needs help... his contact lens was trapped at sink fallout... he needs somebody to get it for him...plumbing right??? i tried to call the maintenance so many times... it's 12:50am and everybody is out of work.. the maintenace on call phone rings and to the second time it's no longer on service.. i assumed someone turns it off... i cant contact anyone here!!! Knowing his PROJECT ENGINEER MANAGER

  1. the only thing I can suggest is to apologise, and ask him to wait until you find someone! Also, explain the situation about lack of available personnel. Then, you'll have time to  think of a solution.

  2. Yes.. too much mess for a contact .. i see.

    If you cant get anyone, and of course .. can you do the plumbing? If not, explain that to the Tenant. Better say "I can´t" when you really cant, than getting things h**l worst by trying something you totally unknown.  

  3. Put some double-sided tape or chewing gum on a stick/pencil/pen and try to fish out the lens yourself. Even if it doesn't work, the tenant will have seen that you tried _everything_.
