  1. big brother???

  2. Nothing because where you're going you're going to be having a great time.

  3. In brief, civility; depending on your holiday destination.  However, you may glimpse less desirable lifestyles and be grateful for your return to the comforts of home.

  4. big brother, x factor auditions, olympics and winning hopefully a few more, rain and more rain, when you come back all the flowers will be dead, and fuel prices going down. (:

  5. X factor auditions...... priceless!

    :)

  6. The olympics. But i suppose they'll be everywhere; just not in English.

  7. Prince Charles taking rubbish, Gordy MacBroon doing something daft with the economy, the vile Olympic Games, ...... Looking at this load, I think I will leave as well.

  8. The olympics

  9. Probably the rain?

  10. Global Warming!!! :)

  11. Gordon Brown? Nah! Unfortunately he will still be here when you get back!  I don't want to ruin your trip, but that's the way it is.

TV? You won't miss anything! Everything will be re-run, over, and over and over again!

  17. Litter!

  18. The great weather, cheap goods and all the excitement about GB winning hundreds of medals at the Olympics! Don't get me started on the TV, besides you can catch up online when you return! Don't give home a second thought. Have a great time.

  19. probably nothing unless you like all the illegal immigrants we've got here.

  20. If like me, you have been used to pouring brown or red sauce on most things since you were a child in the 1940s, you're gonna miss these; heinz tom ketchup and HP sauce.  You'll also yearn for Marmite on toast and a proper cuppa tea.

Strangest of all, my partner and me found a restaurant at Pigalle in Montmartre called La Marmite - so naturally, we ate there most nights at about 11pm.

Wherevr you go, have a great time.  We're off down to Sorrento for the pasta hunting season from 25th August - just hope it's hot, hot, hot.
