What will i need for cancun besides the obvious?

Especially shoes, I am planning on sandals and walking(tennis) shoes, will I need any other shoes ie dress related. We dont plan on any fancy restaurants but do want to partake in a club or bar like senor frogs or something like that. This is our first trip to mexico and dont really know what to pack PLEASE HELP

If I were you, I would pack some sunscreen and deifinitely some stomach antacid, such as Pepto.

Sandals are fine for clubs and bars.

For the Woman:

Pack a pair of flip flops for the beach. Cover ups too.

A couple of bathing suits.

Cancun is very casual, I would pack shorts, jean skirt, Capri's, sun dress. Summer clothes. I found I needed more tops than bottoms.

A light sweater if it gets chilly at night. Sometimes you need it with A/C

For the Man:

Shirts with collars (2/3)

At least 1 pair of long pants

shorts

T-shirts

a couple of bathing suits

Flip flops

A hat and sunglasses

plenty of suntan lotion

books to read

Ipod

Any medicines you currently take plus over the counter aids (advil, Imodium, pepto, bandaids,etc)

Bring small bills (dollars) for bus fare, tips, small purchases. US coins are not accepted in Mexico

Dollars are accepted all over Cancun but if you need cash the ATM's disperse only pesos. The pesos ratio is about 10 pesos =1 dollar
