  1. You ned a diamond disc cutter.

9 inch electric with a 9inch diamond disc.

Phone Hewden hire on 0800 371565 for your local hire shop.

Or phone 0800 317958 for your local builder centre hire shop

Or call your local Travis Perkins and ask for your nearest hire shop.

You could also buy one from Screwfix

    Go to this link

    http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/home...

They will deliver you one tomorrow if you order by 18.00 hours.

Dont forget to wear eye protection when you use that sort of machine.

  2. you will need a petrol stone disc cutter,

    most hire centres have them.

  3. you can hire a slab cutter(just like a guilotene) from hire shop

    much safer !!!

  4. use or rent a water saw (about 30.00 per day)

  5. You will need at least a hand held masonry grinder.

There are models available that run on wheels but unless you have very many to cut it is not worth renting one.

A simple hand held grinder with masonry disk is quite cheap to buy...

  6. you can use a circular saw with a mansonry blade.. which is nothing more than a black blade looking like a sanding disk, but it's strong enought to cut mansory...   get a few blades depending on how many you need to cut.

  7. You could use a cold chisel and lump hammer. Mark a line where you wish to cut, take out about 1/4 inch of the concrete slab with the chisel and hammer down the line. Place a piece of wood under the largest part of the slab and tap with the hammer and it should break clean on the line you have cut.If there is a lot of cutting hire an stone grinder from hire plant shop listed in your area by yell.com

  8. When hiring a grinder make sure it comes with a diamond disc.A 10 inch would be enough.

  9. you need a diamond disc and preferably a petrol disc cutter, you can hire both from eurotool on the barncoose industrial estate redruth, just over the road from cornish fixings.
