I do not mind going in spring or fall. Hostels, camping and a lot of walking are ok. I want to enjoy the pubs, but am willing to shop in the markets for most food. I want to try all the beers, but am not a big drinker.

So, how much a day? Not counting getting there.

  1. I don't think you need to do the camping thing to save money but I would start saving money on my flights or hotels first. Because those seem tobe the most expensive parts to a vacation.  I use www.ytbtravel.com/gordonsa for all my cheap travel issue. So see what they got in that area and you might be surprised. I use them for alot for my business related travel.

and Have fun on your vacation. But please be safe especially in a foreign country.

Dublin City is very expensive but the countryside is nice i live in louth theres a great tourist-y Village called Carlingford here and in it theres a place you can stay Called the adventure centre and theres a four seasons aswell as other hotels and B+Bs

Medevil Castles Are throughout this village infact there are pictures of them on Wikipedia if you search Carllingford Co Louth But Back to Your Q

    Per Day

    Water (500ml) €2

    B+B (varies) circa €40pn

    Pint of Beer €4

erm i cant think what else yould want mate but just send me a mail and ill give ya a rough idea

  3. I agree that the accommodation is the biggest killer of money.

Try webiste like hostels.com, hostelbookers.com and lopnelyplanet.com for some cheap options.

There are lots of B&B's in Ireland which from memory were about 30euros a night (i tried to go cheap too).  I also hired a car to get from places and to see the countryside.  If you were going with someone/other people  else it might be a good idea for a few days if you want to explore....if you get far enough in advance and lok for deals it can be an option (i got a 2 week old sports car!! and I chose the cheapest car avail!).

cost per day  hmmmm? not sure....depends on how much you eat!!! If you go to a B&B and some hotels give breakfasts (good ones!) so that does you well for half a day.....I can't remember what I paid, but I took mostly photos and postcards and didn't buy much else apart from food/accom and petrol.
