What will kill weeds and not grass ?

preferrably something in the kitchen.

i've heard of vinegar but i'm not willing to take the risk.

You have to realize that grass although a desired one is technically a weed. If you are careful with vinegar you will be fine.

Vinegar - spray on leaves of unwanted weed in direct sun (if its in the shade your out of luck)

I don't think there is anything in the kitchen that will kill weeds but not grass.  Vinegar will kill both.  Chemicals like Weed-be-gone, as the previous poster said, will kill only broadleaf plants and not grass.

I have used

1.Bleach

2. weed b gone

3. charcol lighter fluid (works awsome)

4. antifreeze

Anything in your kitchen that will kill a weed will kill the grass too.  You need a chemical like 2-4-D  It's the chemical that is in most weed killers used on grass

i tried the boiled vinegar but it DID kill the grass too so I am going to try a borax solution this week before i resort back to weed b gone.

weed be gone is the best if you have a home depot close by its only $7. otherwise get a knife and good luck...
