What will make a 1700 yamaha roadstar a little smoother on the highway ?

great bike 2008 model , would like it a little smoother , can anyone help ?

  1. If it is your suspension you want adjust, unfortunately, from my experience preload adjustments do not effect how the suspension reacts to imperfections in the road surface, so change the actual suspensions (i.e. springs) to match the bike's weight + the rider and any anticipated weight is one of the better choices.

    I don't know of anything else you can do easily.  Check that tire pressure and make sure you'rer in a smooth riding gear for the speed you are traveling at (no need to have the engine revved up too high);  I am surprised they didn't put 6 gears on a bike this big.  At least it is a belt drive.

  3. Check your air pressure in the tires. Adjust the rear shock.

  4. Trade it for a Gold Wing???
