  1. the chaepest thing is to use raceing gass, then the next woult to put a bigger front sproket and a smaller rear sproket on the bike. also a piston/cam change or an exaust.

  2. If you dont race it, then why ask this question in motorcycle RACING ?

There is another section on these pages for none racing questions.

  3. Do you ride it on a motocross track? If so suspension is where you should spend your money. A CRF250R doesn't not need to go any "faster".

  4. DO NOT PUT ALCOHOL IN THE BIKE. The guy who put the first answer said put alcohol. that is not true. you will ruin your bike. You can only put alcohol in the bike if it has been built to run alcohol. To make it faster, put a jet kit in the carb. More gas and air = more power. Put a FMF racing pipe and silencer. And put a bigger front sprocket on it. Increase it by 1 or 2 teeth. Please, for the love of god, please don't put alcohol. Alcohol is strictly for racing in drag racing or of that nature. It will ruin your bike.

  5. is it top speed you wanna increas or acceleration?

the answer to both are sprockets on you honda.

if you are in for a  real hpgain ittl get expensive engine parts are costy so youll finish up with a twice as epensive bike, sorry.

rem. smaller sprocket in front or bigger back increases acceleration but makes the top speed abit lower.

bigger sprocket in front or smaller in back makes it accelerate much slower BUT you CAN get a higher topspeed.

say you have a 15 sprocket in front and a 45 in back, that means that (45/15) you have a ratio of 1:3 so one tooth in front means 3 on the back sprocket.

and sprockets are kinda cheap soooo.

if i were you id take one or two tooths smaller sprocket in front and feel what a differense it makes!!!

    good luck

  6. Get a pipe for it

  7. Take the stainless steel cage out of the airfilter. An expert mechanic in his field who works on all the pros bikes suggested this.  All the top riders in the country I am in do this with their bikes. But I guess  the difference  may not be noticable to a rider who is not A grade!

Add an aftermarket pipe which may make a difference.

Keep the bike serviced regularly and keep the airfilter clean. Other than that you are looking at spending more money.

  8. An inexpensive way to enhance the performance on your CRF250R is to have your carb re-jetted by a decent motocross mechanic for the specific area you ride in.  You should also invest in a carb spacer for your bike, which alleviates that annoying bog that occurs whenever you land from a jump.  Anyone who as ever owned a CRF250R knows exactly what I am talking about.  These fixes may not produce outright horsepower, but the added performance will definitely be noticable.  Don't listen to the gentleman with the alcohol idea, you'd be better off lighting your bike on fire.  DO NOT REMOVE THE AIR FILTER CAGE.  This cage was made as a backfire screen in the event that the bike would backfire and light the air filter on fire.  Only an expert rider would notice the small difference if you were to do this anyway.

  9. put alcohol in it.
