What will make me feel good again?

I have had trouble with being overweight and depression for a while now. I am just so sick of getting out of bed hurting and feeling my own weight. Weight loss is so slow, and I just feel like I'll never feel good again.

  1. FIRST OF ALL, THERE IS HOPE. Times get hard, and when that happens many people turn to food for comfort. That often causes the person even more stress, and it just keeps adding on. This can lead to an eating disorder- compulsive overeating. This can be very, very dangerous to your heart. What you have got to do is exercise and put yourself on a healthy diet. A great way to exercise is to walk around the neighborhood every nightt, or join a local dance class. try jogging in place while you watch television. A great way to maintain a healthy diet is to follow the food guide pyramid. Thats what it's there for. Start reading labels on food packages. Do not starve yourself. If you starve yourself, your body goes into shock and literally starts feeding off itself, and then when you DO eat again, it stores the food in compartments to prepare itself in case something like that happens again. But, most of all, maintain a positive attitude. You aren't going to get anywhere by being Negative Ned. I undertsand that it is hard, but you have to do it. Find a trusted friend to talk to through the challenge. It is going to be tough, but hang in there. You can do it! :)


  2. Being overweight can be very depressing.

    The best way to loose weight is to go on a low fat/ no fat diet.

    I recently had to do this as I was having problems with my gallbladder.

    The weight kept dropping off. I didn't worry about calories or portions as much as I avoided the fat. Also, Do something that makes you happy cause you are worth it. You will get the weight off .As well, your health will be much better, because we shouldn't be eating fat anyway. Read the labels on all your foods, it is scary how much fat some food has in it.

    it has happened to all of us at sometime in our lives. Don't be to hard on yourself.

Have you considered the possibility that you may be intolerant to foods such as wheat and dairy and soy?? i'm severely intolerant to all three and found that by eliminating them from my diet i regained lost energy and vitality i thought i would never see again.....  naturally you  need to provide an alternative such as organic brown rice or quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) instead of wheat .... or bake some rice bread... they sell organic varieties in most major supermarkets at around $4 - 5 a packet...... with milk and dairy products as with packaged wheat products, in general they contain an awful lot of chemically processed bleached sugar ...... this could be another intolerance you may have... man made sugar.

    Food intolerances can contribute enormously to depression, inability to lose weight, continuous respiratory and immune system problems, irritability and moodiness, headaches and migraines etc.... Buy yourself a book called "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About IBS" by Richard N.Ash M.D.....  eye opening stuff buddy.

    Eat foods as closely as possible to their fresh and natural state... loads of fresh fruits and vegies, some lean meats and fishes, organic nuts and seeds (ground up for easy digestion)..... fruit and leafy and green vegies and other vegies are also rich in calcium essential for strong bones, teeth and heart health..... buy the book and be enlightened mate.

    Drink loads of fresh filtered water too.... you'd be amazed at how being just a little dehydrated can contribute to a feeling of depression and sluggishness.

    Try to start releasing your stress and guilt over things you can't change too ........  forgive yourself for not being what others expect and likewise forgive others for not being just what you expected.... Life is Sweet mate... enjoy yourself.
