Unfortunately it takes TIME. Frequent back washes to clear the filter helps and more shock. Best bet is to open it and start working it 3 to 4 weeks before you plan on swimming.

Try to add some water clarifier but also make sure your water is balanced. Your filter may not be working properly.

Check and clean your filter and run your pump  for 24 to 48 hours . you need time for the water chemistry to work.

When my pool gets bad, I shock it and run the pump all night long, and in the morning I vacuum it manually.
