United will probably stick to the same formation as last year, as they have no need to change a successful formula. That means a 4-3-3. Last year the 3 attackers were Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo. If Berbatov is to fit into this team as a starter, Ronaldo will likely be dropped to midfield, reverting to a role similar to the one he played when he first signed.

The strikers will, in my opinion, be rotated with one of the four on the bench. Remember Carrick and Hargreaves both warmed the bench for periods of last season, with both costing around the £20million mark.
