If I currently have a 3.14 GPA, am entering my senior year and taking 6 classes 4 of which are AP classes, and I make all A's in those classes, what is the highest GPA I will be able to obtain?

  1. You didn't give us quite enough info there, but I'll take a stab at it.  It depends on how many credits you've earned towards the GPA you have, and how your high school weights courses, since they all do it differently.  For the sake of college admission, I'll assume that's your unweighted GPA and that's what you need for colleges anyway (although it's really too late to raise your GPA at this point; most applications are due before you get any senior year grades back).

Anyway, assuming you took 6 classes a semester the last three years, you can get up to a (3.14*6+4.0)/7 = 3.26 at the end of the first semester and a (3.14*6+4.0*2)/8 = 3.36 by the time your graduate.
