What will policing be like in 2025?

will police patrol the streets or will they simply collect cctv?

will offenders be chiped?

any other weird suggestions?

Contrary to what many people want to think police work, at the street level, will always be pretty much the same as it has been for the past 100 years or more except for a few more high-tech devices and systems.  People don't change, there will always be thieves, liars, robbers and murders; s*x and drugs and violence have always been part of the human condition, and unless our brains and nervous systems are somehow reformatted there will be no drastic changes in the way police work is done for a very long time.  It will still take a cop in uniform to to deal with the worst in our society no matter how much time goes by.

I think it will be like Kurt Vonnegut described. Everyone will get their own personal policeperson to accompany us through life's behavioral problems.

It would probably change with only little.

Maybe they will hunt even more for the baddies like O.B.L the terrorist who everybody hates.

Maybe an offender will be hanged for murder. Who knows what the future is like?
