What will remove scratches ffrome hard plastic?

I have scratches on my plexiglass fish tank, also on a friends boat on the windshield wich is made of some kind of plastic material.

  1. There are a few different products made for that, but it is a pain in the rear.  Its like polishing gems.  You need to start with a heavy grit, then move smaller and smaller.

    You can try to shave it as well with a razor blade.

Depending on the Depth of the scratch, if you can hang a fingernail on it you will need to start buy sanding it with a 320 grit paper, then with a 400 grit then with a 600 grit then go to 1000 grit then 2000 grit then 3000 grit then Ultra Fine paper. all Paper,s should be wet or dry but always,s use soapy water on every step, soap will help keep the paper from build up and also easy er to use. after sanding rub it out with a Light duty Rubbing compound then with a Polishing compound the with a good quality Past wax, I know this sound,s like a lot of work for just a little scratch but it goes quickly as you wont be more then a minute or two on each step, maybe an Hour total. don't try a low speed electric buffer unless you are proficient at it as it will tend to burn the plastic and leave swirl mark,s
