  1. According to a inventor I listened to on the Glenn Beck show he believe solar power will be developed within the next  5 years to where it will be the answer.  Sorry I can't remember his name, but I thought his comments were interesting.

  2. Do you believe our energy needs will be solved?

How will the politicians help solve our needs when they have refused ANY development in Nuclear, Drilling, New Refineries, etc. etc.??

Most Importantly - Tell us how their NEW punitive TAXES will add or help our energy needs?

  3. Nuclear is too expensive, complicated and dangerous. The anwer is blowing in the WIND!

  4. Where I live it is wind, solar and hydroelectric energy. I think the only thing that will truly solve our future energy needs is living in tune with mother nature and common sense. Ask an Indian if you want to know about energy conservation. They know the answers.

  5. Nuclear should be a large part of it. Also increased oil exploration in the near term. As of now, no other alternative can replace these. We should continue to capture what we can and also work for a cheaper more reliable alternative source. It is out there. we have yet to discover it.

  6. There is not just one. Solor, wind and nuclear will play apart.

  7. Geothermal, and heat pumps! They are amazingly efficient. Also Man cutting down would do the trick nicely!

  8. It takes many tool to build a house, friend, just as it will take many solutions to solve our energy problems! But fear not, as long as we embrace change and work together, there is nothing we cannot accomplish.

  9. Drill for oil in America

  10. Nuclear can certainly be a part of it.  But as stated in another recent question, there is a limited supply of uranium that we can mind. The US could triple their nuclear power generation and have enough for at least 65 years, but we'll need to supplement that with other methods of power generation.

Hot rock geothermal sounds very promising to me. Pumping water down holds in areas with hot underground rock produces steam that comes up through another hole and powers simply steam generators.

Solar, wind, and tidal are also very good technologies that should increase in efficiency and decrease in cost as we scale up their usage.
