Barkeepers friend--it is a powdered cleanser that removes many stains. It will even remove rust, and is great for cleaning many surfaces.

I use Whink brand Rust Stain Remover.  It's in a brown/bronze bottle, located in the cleaning aisle of Wal-Mart.

We have high iron in our water, and this is the best thing I've found to clean out rust off of anything... except it'll tarnish Stainless Steel if left on for long!
