What will the courts do to make sure you child is safe with the other parent when you know they have a mental?

illness and is taking drugs? Will they do a psychological test on them? if so, how can they be sure? My ex is wanting unsupervised visits and over night while so far he has just been having supervised visits at his mums house twice a week.

if you don't want your child to have unsupervised visits then u need to prove to the court that he is unfit! This may take a Private detective or witnesses on ur behalf

you need to convince them that he needs this done and you will only give him supervised visits on your terms i.e get test done, the courts are more likely to believe your word against his, if you truly believe your child is unsafe in his presence then they will test him in anyway you believe he needs to be.

Shouldn't you be asking this question of your attorney, the judge, social worker, ect. (someone who could take action)  instead of wasting your time getting opinions from strangers? I am constantly amazed at the amount of people who seem to seriously expect to find the answer to life altering situations in this format.
