  1. if carbon emissions is decreased, it should be done in a long term basis so that the effects can be noticed.

    the impact to the environment when we decrease carbon emission is that it slowly stop the greenhouse effect and hopefully, it would stop the destruction of the ozone layer.

  3. the temp will continue to rise until the plant community has a chance to absorb the extra Carbon we've put in the air.

    as the temp rises, rainfall patterns change, sometimes predictably, sometimes not.

    currently, it appears that changing rainfall may be, to a great degree, responsible for the problem in Darfur -- drought conditions drove folks to migrate.

    complicating the process is the population increase that's causing tropical rain forests to be cut down for agriculture.

    in order to be successful, we'll have to address both carbon and population -- a far harder task.
