  1. 7-9

    Preseason is meaningless.

  2. Im a big lions fan

and although the preseason is meaningless, itleast were not 0 and 3 like the patriots.

And if you are a lions fan like me, get your fill in while you can...i just went to NFL.com and looked at the NFC standings, and it is a whole new kind of feeling when you see Detroit Lions infront of every other team in the league.  When you see that, it makes it feel a whole lot more realistic to imagine the lions finishing 13 and 3

  3. Being realistic....6-10. They have not addressed glaring weaknesses on the D-line and even though they have mostly faced 2nd and 3rd team O-lines they still arent getting to the QB quick enough (and they are running line stunts and blitz packages, good teams dont do that in preseason). Plus outside of Sims the LBs are not a very impressive group and they have not found anyone capable of playing the strongside. In addition to those problems they are counting on old DBs who lost starting jobs (mostly in TB) elsewhere, are they suddenly drinking from the fountain of youth and playing like they are 25 again? The 3-0 record is great, they need to establish winning at any level but bottom line is the talent still isnt there. On offense they still havent been able to estblish any sembalance of a running game, Smith has popped a couple nice runs but take away those and he is averaging less than 2 yards a carry (again mostly the 1st unit playing others 2nd units). The receivers are among the best in the NFL but they still have a journeyman QB who has the worst 4th quarter rating in the HISTORY of the NFL....this includes the last 3 years where his 4th quarter rating is worse than the likes of Rex Grossman! Being a 36 year old 14 year veteran I am thinking he wont be getting better. And TE....possibly the worst group of TEs in the entire league. Being a Lions fan I want badly to believe they are turning the corner but the fact is they have not assembled the needed talent and with Millen around they never will. They rid themselves of Shaun Rogers saying they wanted better character guys, then they spend the first 2 picks in the draft for Cherilus (arrested for assault in a barroom brawl he instigated) and Dizon (arrested on a charge of DUI....one week before the draft!). What happened to wanting good character guys? It is just the latest example of the ineptness and misdirected leadership, what they want one day means nothing the next. It would be nice to see a winning record this year even if they missed the playoffs but I just dont see where they brought in the personnel to get them over the hump.

  4. 11-5

  5. decent

    7-9

the saints used to go 4-0 but then suck in the regular season so it realy doesnt mean anything

  6. 9-7 I think this is going to be their record because they have a week division. I think they can beat the Bears and Packers so Lions fans Have fun this year!

  7. its preseason, some teams take these games more serious than other teams do ill say 6-10

  8. First of all, preseason has absolutely nothing to do with regular season. The year the Colts won the Super Bowl, they went 0-4 in preseason.

I looked at Detroit's schedule, and they'll probably go 7-9 or 8-8. 9-7 would be a stretch. They have to win vs. Atlanta, Houston, and Tampa. If they can win more non-division games though, consider their season a success.

  9. 9- 7

  10. Perfect record!

    I wish!

    10-6

Just like everyone else is saying. "preseason won't determine a teams record". but with the new schemes they will be running i think they have a good chance of having a good record. one more word that is very important in any sport. "FINISH". For gods sakes. Finish! last year they couldnt finish what they started.

  11. I say 9-7 or 10-6. It really depends on injuries or surprising teams though.

  12. 6-10.

Preseason means nothing.  Every year good teams win 0-1 games because they played lots of young guys and not their starters and end up in the playoffs.  Its just as full of teams that win 3-4 games and fail in the regular season because they spent the preseason playing starters against other teams backups and end up with no depth.

  13. 11-4-1 and finally win the North..

Sotta will turn into the Viqueens again,

The Pack will colaspe and suffer form post farve syndrome..

and well the Bears D cant out score the other team every game..

  14. 8-8.....at best !

  15. preseason dont mean a darn thing. the colts stink in preseason every year but always have a good regular season.

  16. 7-9 at best.

  17. 9-7

  18. 7-9
