  1. To get back at the NFL for not allowing the Baltimore Stallions their rightful name, the new Ottawa team should be the Colts.

  2. I don't get it, I would have rather seen Quebec City, Halifax, or the Okanagan which has about 400,000 people to draw from, Ottawa has shown it doesn't care.... the "new owners" comments were priceless, we have to be assured a winner right away, Ottawa won't stand for the building process ........should have moved on already.

  3. I personally would prefer the Rough Riders since this name has so much history in Ottawa.  But whatever is best for the fans there.  I don't think it matters if 2 teams have the same name as prounounced, it's been part of Canadian football history afterall.

Of course they should try again as my understanding the new ownership group is from Ottawa and knows the area and fan base so connecting with the fan base there will be easier than having owners from elsewhere as has been the past situation.  I'm looking forward to the return of the CFL in Ottawa!  As a TiCat fan as going on road trips for games to Ottawa will be fun.

  4. I think they'll still be the Renegades. And of course they should! Ottawa had some great CFL fans and it's always good to have a team in the Capital.

  5. honestly the ottawa flop team is a fitting name, but they wont be there long so what does it matter

  6. The Rough Riders name should be resurrected, though I don't know who, if anyone, has the legal rights to it. I'd certainly like to see Halifax and Quebec get teams, but financing a stadium is the major challenge. I certainly think that any city can draw 25,000 people nine times over five months, but there are no stadiums anywhere near large enough in these cities. There's a nice university stadium in London, but it would be difficult to enlarge because of its proximity to buildings and the river, and the city is so close to Hamilton and Toronto, not to mention Detroit.
