  1. The managers can have a wider range of subs to chose from and also more player will be happier.

  2. Players become tired during matches,

with the 7 substitute rule more new players can be brought onto the field, meaning the game will not lack tempo or slow down... I reckon haha

  3. not much...garbage on the field i presume more garbage on the bench......it seems silly..i do think that when a player is injured though, that should not count in substitutions.....

  4. It may give some of the younger players a chance but could also restrict there loan chances

  5. more subs

more reserves have the chance of coming on

increased options for the managers and so on

players will be less willing to leave if they know they are not on the reserves and on the bench (i think)

but all in all this will benefit the players and managers alie.

  6. Frankly, it will open up some slots on the bench for one or two promising youngsters, otherwise the manager will keep naming those same five old head internationals who are purely squad players (too good for the reserves, not good enough to start).

This rule will let managers blood those youngsters, say, when their team are leading by two or three goals, they will give these kids a run-out for twenty, thirty minutes. All in all, it will benefit the youth players more, but then again, at a club like Chelski, it will mean players like Wayne Bridge will still be doing next to nothing- the difference being in the stands and on the bench at Stamford Bridge.
