What will the weather be like in Hanoi mid September .?

i am planning to visit Hanoi in mid -September,also a trip to Halong Bay,as i live permanantly in Nha Trang i only own shorts and T shirts,in fact i dont even own shoes anymore,will i need to buy more winter clothes or will the weather be ok.

The weather should be OK.

July and August are actually normally very hot months in Hanoi. September is autumn, but not winter so shorts and bare feet are no problem.

oh smiler say it aint so ! your going to ha noi in sept...? i'm going to be in nha trang in sept.. i was hoping we could meet for morning coffee.. anyway ha noi aint bad , i rarley wear shorts when traveling[ i used to but the viet namese dont think its polite to travel/ visit in shorts and t shirts???] but i never wear shoes.. you can get anything you need in ha noi... you know that.

   well if you get back to nha trang before thanksgiving i'll be the old guy all dressed up with the angry face stomping up and down huong vuong street... hope to see you....

anyway i know you'll enjoi ha noi. there are many songs that say one must go to ha noi in the fall [ autum, mua tu]
