What will they do with the houston astrodome?

its been sitting empty other than a few days of rodeo. and it cost tax payers thousands a month to keep it maintained.

Instead of looking for a buyer, while they do lose thousands of dollars of our taxes, I felt they should have just given it to the soccer club for free. Instead we keep dumping money into it and now we are building a soccer team a stadium!?!?!?

I'm not against soccer but none of the pro leagues that have started in this country have made it. What's going to happen if 3-4 years down the road they complete the stadium and there's no team to use it?

Give them the Astrodome to use and let them pay for the upkeep. If they fold then it reverts back to the city.

At least until then it's off our books.

The Rodeo and the Texans need to figure out what to do with it.  They shoot down every idea, but they're not coming up with any others!  I don't want to see it torn down.  

I wish they would have agreed to the resort design, it would have been an awesome tourist spot.  That same designer built a similar resort in Florida that is very successful.
