  1. I would do the same if it were any other human being that saved my life!

Here's a good story of an illegal saving a life. This guy even gave up his chance of disapearing.

Illegal Immigrant from Mexico Helps Crash Survivor

Cordova, a 26-year-old Mexican bricklayer, was "two days into his walk and about 50 miles from Tucson" on Thanksgiving when he came across a boy whose mother had been killed in a van crash, The Associated Press reports.

Cordova gave up his chance to "disappear" into the United States to help 9-year-old Christopher Buztheitner, who had walked away from the crash. Cordova got a fire started, found food in the van for the boy and waited while he slept. Fourteen hours later, a group of hunters found the pair and called for help.

"I am a father of four children. For that, I stayed," Cordova told AP. "I never could have left him. Never."

Cordova was taken into custody and deported. Roberts writes that Cordova is "probably nobody special." And that's the point.

I don't know if anything should be done for Cordova. He did what any human being should do. Maybe what we can do in appreciation is to reclaim the debate that has been taken over by the extremes, those who would have you believe that every person here illegally is out to rob us and cheat us and steal our country.

  2. That wouldn't happen, illegals only care about themselves and what they can take from us.

  3. fantasy - Had..if..would..

    Fact - ILLEGAL immigrant

Guess what you think this person would say:

  4. Nothing

  5. nobody questions that there are not good illegals that would do something to save a person in trouble..however, you forget that illegal is still illegal and you also forget that at least 90% of illegals would not call 911 if you were bleeding to death..they would sit there and wait for you die and then steal from you. Some Americans would do the same thing. I have never heard one person say that ALL illegals are bad.. I have heard that ALL illegals are criminals..they are..thence the word ILLEGAL

  6. you can show your gratitude by buying him a one-way plane ticket back to his country, economy class ofc.

  7. I would be grateful,of course.Just as if placed in the same position I would save their life if they were in a life threatening position, and it was in my power to help them. That's just basic humanity,we don't give that up at the Border.

But it doesn't change the fact that they're Illegal,it isn't even relevant in fact.So if they're found in the Country Illegally, they should be Deported,no questions asked.

  8. Interesting question. I would have great gratitude for this individual, but it would still not change my mind about enforcing our immigrations laws as effectively as possible.

  9. That would make it 10,000+ killed by criminal invaders

    VS

2 saved (tony has one too!)

    Still not a good deal!

If a child molester saved you what would you do? Have him move in next door to you and your kids?

  10. If an illegal resident saved someone I love's life,  then I would try my hardest to get them citizenship in this country.  I'm sure a testimony like that would make them look really good.

  11. I personally feel that saving someones life is about tatamount to fighting in a war - you are putting yourself on the line for another. We award war heroes with all sorts of honors if they go back for a fallen comrade, pull a child out from under rubble, take a bullet, etc.

If an illegal resident is going to put themselves out there to save another's life, why should they not be likewise rewarded? As a sign of gratitude and acknowledgement that they will obviously be contributing members of American society, they should receive legal/ permanent residency at the very least.

  12. Of course I would want them to save me.  At the end of the day it really has nothing to do with their immigration status.
