What will we call now in twenty years?

If you think back twenty years from now, you think of the 80s. In twenty years when we think back, what are we going to call this present time? The tens? Will it even have a name?

A lot of people refer to them as the naughties, because naught means nothing or zero, although there is no universally excepted name.

For 2000 til 2010, it's already refered to as the 00's  (noughts, noughties), its also a bit of a pun on the word "naughty" because our lifestyle has become naughtier than any in the past, i think the whole period from 2000 to 2019 will be known as the naughties, and to be honest i think it will be a period we'll want to forget, it hasn't been a great 8 years so far
