What will we do if Gas hits 7 dollars?

Will Jobs shut down? Will the USA go into a depression?.

Will there be riot. Who will hurt the worse? I have so many questions.

Will there be marshal law in some areas.

There are a lot of people who are finding it hard to get to work now. My husband is using my car & carpooling with another guy. A depression looks likely. The gov't is still denying that we're in a recession. Always the poor will hurt the worst. The rich will already have safegards in place (d**k Cheney made $5 million last year!) Violence & martial law are possiblilities. Please vote Democratic no matter who the candidate is.

I think the entire country should go on strike before it hits $7.00.  Sure, the economy would possibly crash, but we need to take a stand and let it be known that the prices are ridiculous!  If gas gets to $7.00 a gallon, everything else will start or continue to go up as well.  The economy is jacked up right now and if someone doesn't get a hold of it soon, we might just face the next great depression.

the wise people would have invested in electric cars or bikes

quite a few jobs would be lost because people wouldn't be able to get there on time because they had to abandon their cars in an effort to save on bills.

i'm not sure if america will go into a depression but it could happen.

i'm pretty sure there will be riots because some people are too stupid to think about a proper future in case something like this happens

Necessity is the mother of invention. Right now car companies are trying to balance gas consumption with power. If demand is there, you will see cars that get way better gas mileage, but have less power. People won't care. If everyone gets way better gas mileage, then the demand for gas will drop, and the price will follow. All we need to do is increase supply, or decrease demand in order to see prices fall.

We are very spoiled in the USA.  We will make sacrifices and what will happen is we will start using coal on a larger scale and look for natural gas pockets around the country.  I am sure they have a way to power cars but I don't think they have a way to introduce it yet.  If we were to introduce it all the people working in the oil industry will be devistated.  The oil industry is also very powerfull and they will not introduce a technology that is free or cheap when they can make money.

Its $ 1.36 a liter in BC  almost $ 6.00 a gallon  its hard to get a seat on the bus   I have a pass saves a lot
