  1. This is a question no one on this Earth can answer with accuracy. The only thing accurate is the oceans will have boiled off the surface of our planet by then. This event will begin in about 5 to 700 million years from now. So, if we're not off this rock by then, we won't exist in a billion years.

  2. if we do exisit.. i think we will all fuse to look like each other with no variation. Just like ants.. they all look the same!

Hopefully we will have wings, but maybe we'll get to the point of mating with animals so we'll have horse tails and dog ears.

PS> mating with animals is gross

  3. we won't have pinky toes. (so sad right?)

  4. Well if the foolish humans of the earth stop and think about what they are doing then maybe the human race will see life to a billion years they probably will be balder and fatter, but if the humans don't pay attention then there will be no humans.

  5. short, sort of yellow and with funny eyes :-)

The west has lost it's nerve .. whilst we are 'protecting the environment', demonstrating against Nuclear power and Oil exploration in Alaska/Antarctic (whilst simultaneously transferring our net wealth into the pockets of the middle eastern oil producers) and debating the effects of 'global warming', the Chinese will be gong to the stars ..

  6. It's not possible to predict what specific direction our evolution will take us in, since we can't know in advance the environmental challenges that will exist in the future.

  7. Will we last that long?

  8. If we haven't evolved by then, we'll probably look the same.

  9. We personally will be gone in a billion years, and the sun is supposed to explode or something in 5 million years, so i have a feeling that humans won't exist at all.

  10. We will all be dead, on Earth anyway, as there will be no water, no atmosphere and no food, this is inevitable I am afraid as the Sun's temperature and radiation increases as a natural consequence of the Sun's aging.

  11. we wont.

  12. Humans in their current form exist only since 200,000 years, that's like nothing compared to a billion years. If we continue to burn our fossil fuel and forest as we do, we will have obliterated ourselves in less then 150 years tops. We will be one of the most unsuccessful animals in the history of the earth. Dino's had a good 200 million year run.

  13. From the way things are going right now like artificial legs for people who can't walk...artificial hearing...etc...I think that more than half the human body will be robot parts...

  14. well in a billion years... im pretty sure we will be dead a buried. So i spose we wil have decomposed, got rid of all the BO, urine and faeces smell, to be a pile of bones. So we will look pretty ugly you kno, hopefully yu wont still have nose hair when yur dead, i saw tht once at a mummy mueseum.

  15. DUST

  16. We'll look like someone who has spent too many sessions at a tanning booth...shriveled up prunes.

As the Sun gets hotter and hotter as it approaches its demise (approx. 5.5 billion years), our atmosphere will become super-heated.  This increases the kinetic motion of the atmospheric molecules causing much of the water to evaporate and boil off into space.  This is what happened to Mars--its water was photo-dissociated by solar uv, a process which strips hydrogen from water molecules, while the solar wind blows it off into space.

Luckily for us, astronomers have found 160+ moons in our solar system that we can escape to.  As long as we can install a Superconducting Ring to protect ourselves from cosmic rays, we'll be safe on any habitable globe.  Hasta la vista baby!

  17. I think humans won't exist anymore... so we will look like dust? :P
