  1. I payed the equivalent of $6.43/gal in Edinburgh Scotland 5 weeks ago.  I guess I can live with $4.00 for a while.

  2. My company pays for most of my driving miles. The breaking point for corporate America is hard to find because they just add a surcharge to all of the jobs. When the price of all other goods rises with gas is when we will see people curtail gas, food, vacations, etc.

  3. I'll be paying $4 for gas i guess. There's not much we can do about it really. The only reason gas is priced so high these days is probably to finance Bush's war. d**n!

  4. It is well over £4 per gallon in the UK, twice as much- you just moan and pay up.

  5. I guess I will pay more for gas.  It won't be a breaking point for me.

  6. I will hope and pray that it takes as long to go to 5 per gallon as it did to go from $1 to $2 per gallon, and it does not go as fast as it did from $2 to $4, if that makes any sense. It seems like it stayed at a buck and a buck and a few cents for a long time, but once we crossed the 2 dollar threshold, it just hasn't slowed down since.

  7. $3 wasn't a breaking point.  Why would $4 be?  I do take transit more though.

I'm not in a big hurry to sign a lease on a Hummer.

The Chevy Volt is looking mighty good, it's a plug-in hybrid, so you use no gas *at all* except on longer trips.
