What does your team need to do during the off season to get ready for next year? What teams do YOU expect to make some serious improvements? Thanks a bunch baseball section. :]

My answer: My team needs to stay healthy & find 2 reliable starters. It's kind of sad but the rookies we've been forced to call up and pitch have had better games then some of the starters. Our bullpen also needs a lot of fixing.

  1. At least 2 more power hitters in our Giants lineup to be contenders for the NL West. We have the pitching, just not the offense.

  2. Pitching as well as new players who can hit in the clutch unlike a certain player in the Yankees i know.

  3. The Mets Need a better bullpen.

Even though they are already "contenders" they could use better relief pitching.

Honestly I don't trust any one in the bullpen to get 3 outs with out giving up a run!  The bullpen has blown 15+ games for the mets!  6 Games for Santana!

    It's unbelieveable.

    Good Question!

  4. Angels need to stay healthy and not get injured! Um work on our pitching a little bit. Rotate players more so that they dont get too tired. and thats pretty much it! GO ANGELS!!!

  5. I think my team needs to: Definitely stay healthy, once a lot of the team was on the DL, they fell apart. Also, to find some power hitters, we need some power in the hitting line up and be able to move people from 2nd to home with less than two outs. The bull pen is a little shaky at times, so they need to work on some bullpen pitching and making sure all the pitchers have confidence. Also, some of the starters need to work on not giving so many walks, I learned walks can kill you. Basically, my team needs a little work, but with a good manager, it can happen (if our manager can be good next year, unlike this year, he wasn't great but he wasn't horrible). They also need to take some more risks and bunt more often to move people to 2nd or 3rd base.

  6. Get better starting pitching.

    St Louis Cards fan

  7. Well, I'd answer, but you already know what I'd say... The exact same thing you did.

I'm hoping for sure we sign David Murphy and Chris Davis for another few years...

And get some pitching; both bullpen and starting.  And not any young rookie pitchers; we already have plenty of those.

Of course I'd love for us to stay as healthy as possible; I was actually thinking that maybe this year Kinsler would stay off the DL... He almost made the whole year. =)

    And the O's...

Like I've said numerous times before, we're rebuilding, meaning we need everything.  I'm just waiting it out. =)

Idk who will really make a serious improvement...

This time last year I'd never say that the Rays would be in first place in the AL East or that both the Cubs and the White Sox would be poised for some playoff wins...  Or that the Yankees would be in danger of not making the postseason for the first time in 13 years...

    So you never know.

Heck, maybe next year the Nats will be the miracle team. =)

  8. We need to avoid injuries and start hitting better.

    RED SOX

  9. They need serious bats.

Wow, we have lost eight in a row =(.

  10. I know I know, im crazy

But based on what the Rays have done, and considering the NL West

    the San Francisco Giants

They have a FAST young team with a little spice of vetran

Next year, we SHOULD have NOah Lowrey back, that would be huge

The giants can trade the old guys (roberts, walker, etc.) and get a prime player, just like what they did to gget Rowand

also, Shierholtz will be coming up to the MLB next season

and dont forget Bowker, Sandival, and Posey

I think the giants will improove ALOT!

EDIT: sorry, did not read your question right! lol

but inside there, I said we need a prime player and a better bullpen, and bring up the young guys

  11. Cubs need 1 more good starter, and 1 good person in the pen, and maybe an additional bat.

  12. The Jays need bats.

  13. keep Tex (hopefully at a sort of lower price/contract than he/Boras asked for)

    keep Rivera

get a long reliever for the 'pen

i say keep GA as well i mean let the guy retire as an angel!
