What wireless router will give me the best range?

I currently have a Linksys wireless-g broadband router that is by a computer on the main floor and I get a O.K. signal strength upstairs where my laptop is primarily used, I am about to upgrade my laptop and was wondering if there is a router out there that will give me better signal strength. Thank

- Try switching to Wireless N.

Rather than buying a new router...you can just extend the range of your network with a wireless repeater. It takes the signal from your current router and broadcasts it further, depending on where you put it.
