What wood is commonly used in the manufacture of lifting panel garage doors in the northeast?

Three panels are good as new. The bottom panel is rotting and needs to be replaced. The manufacturer will not sell me a replacement claiming that I must buy a whole new door. I'm capable of building a matching replacement. Cedar would be one choice, but I'm wondering what other rot resistant woods might do as well or better.

  1. Please name manufacturer and I will find out. Many door companies make replacement sections, try calling around. E-mail me info. Much of this stuff is spruce.
