Question:

What words can your 11 month old say?

My little girl still only says mama and dada..is this normal? Should she be saying more by now?

  1. Every kid is different. I've got four and my first had a huge vocabulary by the time he was 11 months and my second and fourth barely talked at all well past 18 months. I wouldn't at all be concerned. Just keep pointing things out and talking normally. They load it all in their brains and they understand it. Some kids say a lot of words early on and other don't.  


  2. My 12 month old says "daddy" in reference to both me and daddy.  He says "cracker" occasionally.  He also cackles like the Count on Sesame Street.  Anything else out of his mouth is grunts, groans, cries, and screams. :)

    Is she an only child?

    If so i think it takes longer for a child to pick up on words because they only have mommy and daddy and no other kids to help her pronouce words.  Ihave a two year old brother he knows alot he has 5 other siblings,
