  1. There hasn't been a delisted site in NZ.

Perhaps you are thinking of sites which were put forward for listing but declined?

  2. Unesco, the organization that is responsible for the World Heritage Sites, decided in June 2007 to remove the Arabian Oryx Sanctuary in Oman from it's listing of World Heritage Sites.

This was in resonse to the fact that  the State decided to reduce the area of the Sanctuary by 90%, and  that the  rare Oryx population has dwindled significantly. The State had also opened the Sanctuary to hydrocarbon mining.

It is the first site to be de-listed by Unesco.

  3. No idea, perhaps Milford Sound? I find it soooo over rated.

Not having much luck are you Mike...

  4. I am uncertain to the meaning of term de-listed. Taken off line or removed from active server is one thing. Access Denied by whoever or whatever is another thing.

The Internet or WWW is almost an entity unto itself, ;least that is what it started as, free flow of information and ideas. Some countries and peoples still cannot grasp or handle that. There are some simple minded and misguided restraints on others learning potential that is a loss to all.
