  1. their hands, rocks and the occasional foot to the cossack....believe me...as a u.s.army infantry soldier for most of my adult life...it still comes down to this when goodies run out.( and they do) i have been known to throw rocks and debris, and quite successfully, at certain times.

    i don't think people realize just how brutal combat can become, and it usually does when closing with the enemy becomes a mere fist fight to the death. most weapons will get you that far. the rest is up to you.


  2. Sword, lance and longbow. Why? To kill enemies in combat.

  3. A bow,pike,lance,sword,dirk,mace hammer,all down to bare hands

  4. Lance/spear, generally as a front line defensive weapon against cavalry.

    Bow and arrow, because it was quick and easy to load and very effective.

    Sword, for fairly obvious killing effect.
