What would Fire look like in Zero Gravity?

I was thinking, since Fire cannot burn without oxygen, how would it look if it was in zero gravity, since there would be no oxygen?

  1. Zero gravity does not necessarily mean that there is no oxygen.

For example, rockets take oxygen in tanks so they could burn the fuel in outer space.

  2. like a orb round almost like a little sun

in zero oxygen it would not burn

is this some kinda trick question

  3. To burn, fire needs a flow of air.  This is normally caused by convection.  However, in zero g, it is tough for the fire to get new O2, i.e., air.  Here is a video of a candle burning in space:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJhxEqCds...

If you were outside, you can always supply both oxygen and the material to be burnt as in a rocket engine.  You can also have solid rocket fuel which burns without air (there is an oxygenating agent in the solid fuel).
