  1. Look, I'm one of the most pickiest eaters in the world. Well, at least the most pickiest in my entire city.. okay! Fine, I'm just a picky eater. anyways, you can try having pastas and lots of cheese to begin with, which is what i am doing. Eat plenty of vegies on the side, not as meals. Try soy products, tofu, and nuts such as almonds, peanuts, etc. have a lot of protein which you can eat. Send me a message if you have any questoins

  2. Are you doing it for other reasons aside from  being called a "cool vegetarian"? Because from the sound of it, that seems to be the main reason why you are doing it.

I would like to ask you why you want to become a vegetarian in the first place? do you known what a vegetarian does? And why you won't listen to your mom but would listen to complete strangers on the Internet?

  3. Oh, it's soooo easy to find great veggie alternatives these days. I went veg almost 11 years ago when I was 11 years old, back then they had just come out with Gardenburgers and that was it as far as meat substitutes go. I was (still am) a super picky eater and I managed just fine. These days you can find all kinds of wonderful stuff. You could have Tofurkey sandwhiches for lunch, or a veggie burger, or chik-n nuggets, the options are endless. Just go look at what they have at your local grocery store. In most stores there is a section of refrigerated vegetarian options in the produce, and then another section in the freezer at bare minumum. Some nicer stores, like Kroger's, even have an entire health food section with everything you could ever dream of. It will be easy, just look around!

  4. u eat nothing

    or powder

  5. I'm a vegetarian and im also a picky eater but I have lots of choices. For lunch I eat pizza, bagel bites, and pasta such as spaggeti, bow tie pasta, and noodles with white sauce and I have my mom make me a sub sandwhich with tomatoes mayonese, and lettuce. For dinner I eat pizza, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and lots of other stuff made out of beans. Sometimes for lunch I just have soup. I drink all kinds of soups such as tomato soup, sweet&sour soup, corn soup, and vegetable soup. In the vegetable soup the vegetables are corn, peas, carrots, and mushrooms. But there are some vegetable soups that have more and less vegetables so if you like more or you don't like the kinds of vegetables I like you can change it. If you can't find any with the vegetables I like then you can just not eat it or pick it out.

  6. As you get older, your palate will change, and you'll discover you like things you didn't like as a teenager.  Since becoming veg, I've learned to like sqash, zucchini (if cooked right), spinach, and kale--as an example.

You could try almond butter instead of peanut butter.  There's pasta, stir-fry, pizza, and so forth.  What do you eat with the fish and chicken your mom makes?  Get an analogue or cook some tofu or tempeh and eat it with the veggies/grains/potatoes.  There are tons of analogues out there; you're sure to find some you like that you can have instead of chicken and turkey.

There are also veggie deli slices you can get at most natural foods stores.  Experiment to find what you like.

  7. Tofu can be grilled and fried just like meat. Soups are another good alternative.  Polenta and/or grits served with sauteed veggies is good. Mushroom lasagna is good www.foodtv.com has a good recipe for that by Barefoot Contessa. No meat chilli is also good.

  8. well you can eat meat when you like. it's your choice. but what you can do is eat veggies and a little bit of meat in your diet. eat as little or as much meat you want with your veggies. and rice is a good source in vitamins etc.

  9. I think you being a vegetarian is just an excuse so you don't have to eat good food. Junk food vegetarians are bad. Got play in traffic

  10. www.peta2.com has a lot of information for becoming a vegetarian/vegan.

    http://www.peta2.com/STUFF/s-recipe.asp

That will tell you what to eat. Peta2 mostly talks about what to eat being a vegan. I'm vegetarian and when I go there, and it says something about not eating anything with milk in it, I'll ignore it. [I don't know if that made sense or not??]

But I hope this helps! Peta2 is really amazing. && If it doesn't help you find what to eat, I hope it will help you get more information on becoming a vegetarian in different ways.

  11. Hmm. I think you maybe looking at this in the sense of what you can't eat instead of how much you CAN eat. There are literally thousands of edible plants. And hundreds of fruits. Dozens of readily available grains. Then think beans, legumes, all the different nuts, and so forth. Think vegetarian tacos, vegi burritos, baked potatoes, salads with LOTS of extras and really flavorful dressings. Think about fruit pie (not as a meal - just pointing out the good stuff out there).

At your age it is hard, but if you can get your parents at least interested in healthier eating (not saying you can make them vegetarian - just open to healthy foods choices) then start learning to cook vegetarian or mostly vegetarian meals. See if you can go to a natural food store and check out the thousands of options you have without meat.

The key is to realize how many options there are. Cook books or online recipe guides can really help too. try allrecipes.com and do an advanced search and select vegetarian and pull up hundreds of options. When I was your age my mom put me in vegetarian cooking classes so I could learn. After I was vegetarian for about 5 years, I was cooking dinner for my family several nights a week because by that time my dad had high cholesterol and needed to eat mostly vegetarian foods anyway.

  12. You can eat whatever you like, Only difference - no animals in your food.

Go to this site and look for your fav recipes. - if you want to cook it, ask your mom to help you make these vegetarian dishes.Once she sees how easy it is, she'll love it too.
