I'm going to start singing lessons in about a month or so, so pretty soon I'll be good. I write songs about things that happen in my life and I'm really good at writing them. First, I want to go on American Idol but what would I need to consider if I became a singer?

  1. ummm wow...uhh american idol?? thats a lofty goal. alrite if your serious you need to pretty much devote every d**n fiber in your body to music, study of music, practice of music EVERYTHING to music. your days will more or less be wake up, school, singing lessons, repeat. hope your prepared.

  2. To go on American Idol or any other TV shows, you must PRACTICE. Also, people born with a special talent in singing has a great advantage, but if you don't, no worries; practicing will be your safest bet.

Take vocal lessons from a teacher that teaches well (try consulting your friends if they have any vocal teachers they recommend). Start off at a comfortable pace (starting from 30~45 minutes), and GRADUALLY  increasing the time (if you feel the need, that is). When you get home, practice what you have learned--or go BEYOND what you have learned and try out harder stuff. It may be challenging and you will find yourself discouraged some time or another, but never give up! Be optimistic. I can guess from your avartar name that you have a lot of confidence, which is good.

Oh, and I also recommend you look through your community's recreational guide/brochure and search for a choir to join. Cooperating with other people will be an excellent practice. You may also ask one of your family members/friends to listen to you sing and help you out and provide criticism (remember, criticism always gets you better!)

When you are ready to show off your skills to the crowd, participate in

choir performances, both solo and group. As you feel more comfortable on the "big stage", you can try out for American Idol.

Hope I helped you, and good luck!

  3. you should consider that singing is a nice hobby but theres a 00.01% chance you can make a career from it.

  4. umm maybe what to sing !!!

reggae !!! or pop !!! lol

    ^^^^^ for example !!! lol

    :)

  5. You will most likely not be ready for years. (depending on how much natural talent you have) I know people who have had lessons for years and can't sing well enough to save their lives. Just work hard and practice. There are 1000s of people who sing great and even if you are a good singer, it will be very hard to make Idol. Good luck though

  6. One word: Experience.
