How do you think he would react to a visit to the local town? Let's say they had a day off, and Teal'C wore a woollen hat to hide his forehead symbol.

(For those who haven't a notion of what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the characters on the TV series, Stargate SG1.)

  1. He did that. He also lived of base.

  2. He is now living outside the military complex.

You mean use my imagination?  ok.

tealc learns about the world through tv. tv gives a biased view of reality, maing it more violent than it really is.

he gets out, and learns that it is not as violence as he's led to believe, and at the same time daniel explains about the realities of life that's never shown on tv. for example bullying, living as an outsider. daniel would talk about his own experience as a boy growing up in school.

maybe tealc would be subjected to a racist remark by some white boys, or maybe a homophobic comment about daniel and tealc.

then tealc would comment about the realities ... something  like that,

  3. How about "where is the toilet ?"

They never say that in sci-fy

  4. I think that was actually shown in season 3 or something. The thing was they were going off base, and Teal'c had been watching TV, which consisted of clips from a news program in a war-torn country, a James Bond movie, a heavy metal music video, etc, and so he thought the world was really violent and wanted to take his weapon with him and someone (I forget which character, it probably was Daniel) was arguing with him about it and trying to convince him that the world really wasn't like it was on TV.

Also, there's an episode, again I think in season 3, where he gets bit by this weird bug, and he's wandering around outside without a hat, and some skateboard kids are trying to talk to him about his 'awesome tattoo'.

There's another episode, in season 6 or 7, where he tries having an apartment, and winds up getting framed for murder and having a sort-of fling with the girl next door.

Personally, my favorite is an episode in season 6, where Jonas is going off base for the first time, and he's got a tootsie pop or something like that, and he's taking pictures of everything.
