Well yes your kind of right but dogs can't find their ways back home if they run away but cats, they can run away and come back to their home because they have great senses.

I'd go with a dog though because you can easily train some specific dogs like the golden retriever. Anyways, most dogs don't really run away. They like staying home if you give them lots of love. Hope i helped ^-^

they are both great in their own sense, I would love to be a dog but I have a cat and her life is awesome, just sleep, eat and play and get love.

AND cats PURRRR nad have 9 lives

It depends

Cat:

Doesn't have to takes walks

Doesn't take as much time since they can entertain themselves

Dog:

Smart

Can eat SOME scraps
