What would a Civil War journal written by David H Norris in 1864 - Illinois a union infantryman sale for?

1864- A 77th Regiment, Illinois Infantryman who became recon and then was transfered to the 11th reg in Texas where he was a prison guard. stationed in Texas and Louisiana. His traveles count for battles preps and marches throughout the Southern states. This journal lists daily activites and even the election of Lincoln.

  1. If you contact the Illinois Reenactment community, check web sites,you'll be able to trace this soldier from their files. It would seem that someone that was active military that ended up as a prison guard might have been wounded or disabled.A journal is worth what an interested party is willing to pay, so go to the source, Illinois
