What would a cop do if he saw a person riding a bike without a helmet on?

Would a cop give them a ticket, pull them over and tell them, arrest them, just pass by, etc?

What would a cop do if he saw a person riding a bike without a helmet on? ... please answer :)

  1. nothing though I have been yelled at for going through a stop sign... I was in the grass in someones yard and he yelled at me...? lol


  2. where i live its legal to ride without a helmet,,but we just lost a friend 3 days ago ,,he didn't have a helmet on,,he died of head injuries..so i think its a good thing to have one on,,but they don't always help,,i live in ky.so if you are wanting to ride please wear a helmet... you got your whole life ahead of you..

  5. Well they should at least pull you over and tell you. I'm not really sure about tickets.  

  6. PA law says children under 12 must wear helmets when riding a bike as driver or passenger. Big Wheels are excluded.  If found not wearing a helmet, the fine is $25 but it will be waived if the person buys a helmet. If you are 15 the law does not apply to you.  Below is a cutesy little brochure I found online.

  7. Well i ride past them without a helmet all the time and they dont do anything...
